Chorley Council Tree Giveaway to Landowner (November 2024)
Overview
As part of our committment to improve the environment we are running another tree giveway, where you can obtain free trees as a landowner.
To date you have helped us plant over 150,000 trees which has achieved our target to plant one for every resident in the Borough. However we still need to find appropriate homes for many more trees. If you have space within your private landholding for trees please have a look at the species available and reserve your trees. The sign up process will close on Sunday 27th October 2024.
The Tree Giveaway event is planned for Saturday 23rd November at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, Euxton Lane, Chorley, PR7 1PS. For managable orders collection will be required. For larger orders, a future delivery date will be arranged. Confirmation of whether your order is for collection or delivery will be emailed giving plenty of notice.
Please note that if you can plant very large quantities and create new woodland you are advised to contact the Treescapes team at Lancashire County Council who can advise on grants and help with applications. treescapes@lancashire.gov.uk
