Chorley Town Centre PSPO Proposed Amendments

Overview

Chorley Council undertook a public consultation for a proposed Town Centre Public Space Protection Order which ran from Friday 6th February 2026 until Friday 13th March 2026.

Following a review of the feedback received from members of the public and partner agencies, the below suggestions were made:

• An extension of the Restricted Area to include Friday Street Car Park & Primrose Gardens.
• A measure to prohibit persons blocking fire exits and public rights of way.
• A review of persons consuming alcohol in a public place.
• A review of persons using sound amplifying equipment.
