Why we need your help 

In 2019, South Ribble Borough Council said that climate change is a big problem and like many other Councils in the UK, declared a Climate Emergency.

In 2021, we made an action plan to help us fix it. Now it’s four years later, and we need to update that plan. 

Why your views matter

We want to make South Ribble better for everyone. Taking care of the planet also helps us in other ways: 

• Cleaner air to breathe 

• Lower energy bills 

• More local jobs that help the environment 

• Less fuel and food poverty 

• Better routes to walk and cycle 

• Nicer parks and green spaces 

• More places to charge electric cars 

• Better protection from floods and storms
