Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025-2029
Overview
South Ribble Borough Council has updated its Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2025-2029
This strategy explains how South Ribble Borough Council, together with our partners plan to prevent and reduce homelessness over the next five years.
We aim to:
- Prevent homelessness as early as possible
- Work with partners to create smart, targeted solutions
- Fund services that support people at risk of homelessness
- Help people make informed choices about their housing
To do this we have identified four priorities, each which has a number of activities and projects to help us realise our ambitions. The priorities of the strategy are:
- Develop and lead on collaborative partnership of organisations with homelessness prevention and increased access to accomodation as its core aims.
- Prevent and respond to homelessness through early intervention and innovative personalised solutions.
- Reduce time spent in temporary accomodation and end hotel usage.
- Develop and implement sustainable supported and affordable housing solutions.
Why your views matter
We are seeking your feedback either as one of our partners or a resident, so we can be sure that the priorities and actions set out in the strategy are the right ones.
Your feedback will ensure we take in to account the views of our communities and local partners before we implement this strategy.
