Supporting Groups Survey
Overview
The Supporting Groups Survey is designed to gather honest, practical feedback from community groups and local organisations across South Ribble. Its purpose is to understand:
- What support groups currently have and what they still need
- How confident groups feel in areas like funding, governance, and community engagement
- Where and how groups would prefer to meet, learn, or collaborate
- What barriers they face when trying to run activities or support local people
- The strengths within the community and the opportunities we can build on
The survey also helps paint a clear picture of the local community sector by collecting useful information on things like income levels, capacity, training needs, and collaboration opportunities.
Overall, the survey aims to ensure that the Community Action Network can offer the right support, at the right time, in the right way, shaped directly by the people who actually do the work.
Why your views matter
Taking part in the Survey gives your group an important opportunity to shape the support, training, and resources offered across the local community sector. Your feedback helps identify real needs, highlight common challenges, and strengthen the case for future funding and development opportunities. By sharing your experiences, you also help improve collaboration between local organisations and ensure meetings, events, and support offers are designed in ways that work best for you.
