Consultation on Revised Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003
Overview
We are the licensing authority under the Licensing Act 2003 (the Act). The Act regulates how alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment is permitted in Chorley. We have to set a policy under this Act every 5 years and our existing policy is due for review this year. This consultation gives an opportunity to comment on the draft policy.
The policy applies to places that sell alcohol, like pubs, bars and clubs and also off licences, supermarkets and hotels. It applies to venues which provide regulated entertainment like live or recorded music, plays, boxing or wrestling and also premises which sell hot food or drink late at night (after 11pm and before 5am).
You can view the draft Policy and Summary of Changes on our website: Consultation on Statement of Licensing Policy | Consultation on Statement of Licensing Policy under Licensing Act 2003 | Chorley
