Hurst Brook Play Area Enhancement
Overview
Chorley Council in conjunction with Cllr’s Alex Hilton, Ryan Towers and Julia Berry have been working for some time now to secure funding to enhance the play area off Alder Grove and Hurst Brook in Coppull. You are invited to have your say about what you would like to see improved at the play area and open space. Your opinion and ideas about the detailed design of the site will help to make the correct choices for the community and ensure the funding is spent in the best way possible.
In essence the play area will stay in the same location and will cater for a similar age group of children (1 - 10 year olds). The play equipment will be replaced with new pieces to provide a variety of activities including some inclusive equipement to ensure that all children have access to a safe play environment. New wet pour safety surfacing is proposed to ensure the play area is usable all year round. The fencing will be removed from around the play area and we welcome your input into whether this should be replaced or remain an open larger space to play.
