Improvement of Abbey Village Play Area
Overview
The Abbey Village Play Area located along Bolton Road has been identified for enhancement through the Open Space, Sport and Recreation Strategy (OSSR) and funding secured. Chorley Council, in conjunction with Cllr’s Margaret France, Gordon France and Jenny Whiffen, are proposing to upgrade some of the play equipment and safety surfacing and improve the path access and landscaping around the play area. The focus will be to create a refreshed open space that is accessible to all.
The play area is intended to largely utilise the existing footprint and provide play value for toddlers through to age 10 years old. Residents are being asked to input any comments into this survey about the site to ensure that local knowledge is transferred into the updated site design.
